I am considering buying a Simmons 2x6x32 Prohunter or Bushnell 2x6x32 Trophy scope for my Colt Anaconda. I am concerned about the eye relief. The Midway website says the Bushnell has a constant 18" eye relief. Simmons just says long eye relief. Has anyone had experience with these two scopes ? I have a Simmons rifle scope that I am pleased with. The Simmons costs a little less than the Bushnell.

I have an older Simmons 2.5x7x28 Gold Medal Silhouette that's been out of production for years, one of my favorites, but I understand the new ones are nothing like it. In the price range you're looking a Weaver is the best scope for your money IMO, more than the Simmons, priced about the same as the Bushnell.
Are you scoping it to hunt with or target shoot, if it's for hunting purposes I would ditch the variable and go with a 2x fixed power scope, plenty of magnification for 44 magnum ranges, and a fixed power offers much more eye relief and a more generous field of view than a variable. Again in the modest price range I'd recommend a Weaver, 2x28, have hunted with one for years, an excellent performer at a great price.
