"Silver" Israeli Kareen pistols

They didn't. Pretty sure those are aftermarket refinishes. I saw a good number of Kareens in Israel, and here in my safe. Never saw an original "clone version" in silver.

If you get one, post pics of the left side. Might have been a commercial/civilian option. They didn't make many of those earlier "clone" Kareens before they switched over to the "space gun" models.

Seemed kinda obv from pictures...
I've been thinking agout it and I want to know how you were so sure? Obviously some sort of plaiting/finish from the way it is worn, but how did you know it was nickel? In person I could tell the difference, but from that photo I'm not so sure. I've seen cerakote worn in similar places and that is one of the dullest nickel finishes I have seen.I don't know much at all about parkerizing b/c it is a poor finish IMO, but I recall seeing one company selling a product they called parkerizing in many colors that weren't that far off(maybe zinc phosphating with some additives?).
Doesn't nickel often flake/bubble. I've really not seen all that many guns where a good nickel finish actually wears through.
Why not a worn matte hard chrome?
What about that finish screams nickel to you?

These are supposed to be direct surplus from Israeli police and the finish is worn, so I do not think it is an aftermarket/civilian finish.

Not that important to me as far as buying. I'm going to pass for now.
