Silly Glock cleaning question

I recently purchased a Glock 21 and a 35.When I read the manual it said not to remove the copper paste on the slide. How can I properly clean and oil without removing the stuff. The copper paste is in the slide rails as most of you Glock owners already know. Why do they use this?

The stuff is "anti-seize compound." It will fall off after the first few hundred rounds. Just ignore that it is there when you clean your gun after shooting.

The first five hundred to 1000k rounds, you should not clean the slide as if you are going to eat Sushi out of it !

Just leave the copper stuff on the first time you shoot it. When you clean it for the first time, the copper stuff will come off with the cleaning solvents. Quite normal.
Glock uses the copper stuff to supposedly help with the break in. Does it really make a difference? Who knows?
I've owned 4 Glocks to date, and that stuff always comes off during my first cleaning (after the gun's first range session). I wouldn't even bother worrying about the copper paste.

I bought my G19 so long that it did not come with the stuff you are talking about. What is it?

Well I bought a G26, but my manual only adresses disassembly and makes no mention of cleaning, lubricating, or the copper paste which I saw at all of the criiitical contact points when I dissassembled the gun. I remembered reading about it here on TFL. so I left the paste on for the first range session 150 rounds of UMC.

The gun performed flawlessly. I cleaned it
and most of the copper paste came off.

I relubed with castrol synthetic gun oil for hoppes, (Calcium dionlysulfonate and organic esters).

I also noticed that I could not find a number for glock customer service anywhere in the litterature that came with the gun. I want to call them today to ask about the defective guide spring assembly.

Fortunately I found the number here at TFL.
