Hey, all.

Relative newbie here. I've only been shooting handguns since spring, so I know I have tons to learn. One thing is about appropriate lubrication. I was cleaning my .38 and .45 the other day, and after a good scrub with Hoppe's and wiping down with a tiny bit of oil, and finishing up by wiping off any excess mess, I grabbed a can of silicone spray and blasted it in around the hammer of each one, and ran some down the barrel of the .38, around the cylinder, and so on. Dried each one off, put the Kimber back together, and things seemed slick and clean. Now... tell me if I should be avoiding silicone spray, clue me in on any horror stories, and so on. Don't wanna be hurting my investment.
