I am in the market for these two guns, but can only get one. I found a great deal on the USP, but want your opinions. I found a Sig P220ST in all stainless, for $$750. But i also found a place to order a now about to be discontinued, Hk USP45 full size in stainless for $688. Both are brnad new! Which should or do you guys recommend I get? I have shot and love both guns!

HK. They're being discontinued, I'd get one while I can. You can always p/u the Sig later. Aside from that, I'd find it difficult to choose between the two.

Ditto on the HK, but I would have gone that route anyhow if prices were equal... at that price, I sure hope someone doesn't have his paws on it already.

The 220 would be great too, but these should be available for a while.

I'd the the HK. Currently I now have 3 of the USP45 SS. The latest one I bought was only $529, NIB. I couldn't believe it. This was at Sportsmans Warehouse in Utah. Hope you're all jealous.

I asked them why it was so cheap. They said it was because it was a discontinued model and they wanted to move it. I think I'll have to check the other ones to see if they have any others left.

Also, this one was a variant 2, with the safety designed for a lefty.

Well, here it is! Afterall comparing once again, and getting your feedbacks, I went with the Sig! I know most of you voted Hk, but I found an excellent price for my P220ST also, and feel that the Sig is the better gun and deal. I own a P220 already and have fired the USP's, but wanted both the stainless USP and Sig P220ST badly. But the P220ST is just one handsome tough gun and could not get an Hk over it. but I'm sure i will still get an Hk later on. Thanks for all the replies.

Hey, well congrats on the new purchase! I'm interested in a range report as well (not that it would shoot any different than your other 220 :D)...

H&K being discontinued?!!?!!? What?!?! I know I have been really busy the past 3 months but I didn't hear this, any details?

The USP has not been discontinued. HK has discontinued the stainless version of the full size USP. (It may be in the U.S. only, as the stainless version is still on HK Germany's web site.)

Both are excellent firearms. I have not shot the ST, only the normal P220. It's a nice gun, but I like the USP45 much better. I own a USP9, and plan on getting a USP45 soon. I prefer the balance and trigger of the USP over the all-steel P220.

As previously stated, HK discontinued the stainless full size USP's in this country due to slow sales. The Compact models still come in Stainless. They are increasingly hard to find, and will most likely disappear from gun shops soon. If they weren't so much more than the standard USP45 (about 150 more around here), I would opt for a Stainless model if I could find one.

I should have the gun within 2 weeks, that includes my ten day wait here in Cali. I will post a range report of course. Some of the guys I know recently received theirs and have had a range report. I love my blued P220 already. The 220ST is one hell of a gun and being an all stainless totally won me over. The 220ST is nice and hefty with almost 1 lb or 12 oz heavier than the regular P220. From what I've read from those who have already taken theirs out to the range, it is more accurate and much less recoil and less muzzle movement, due to the extra weight. Can't wait. Thanks for all the positive comments.:)
