Sights on the Ruger Mark II

I find it difficult to achieve accuracy with my MkII owing to less-than optimal lane lighting at my range. Any recommendations re improving/modifying/replacing the sights on this otherwise fine plinker?
(other than dabbing white-out on them that is). Many thanks.

HEYwood what wrong with white out?

What kind of sight do you currently have the
undercut front of what.
If you have the blade style you can take a
needle file to the face and remove the finish
and polish it then borrow the wifes or
girlfriends clear nail polish and cover the
polished area.
Or you could just use red nailpolish.

Alternatively, rather than play with your sights, change to a lighter target which will give you greater contrast against your sights. Try Felon Orange.
