sights for Marlin 336

I'm thinking of buying a receiver sight for my dad's .30-30 (just doing a little early Christmas shopping). Who makes a good one and what sort of things should I look for? It will be used for some hunting but mostly casual target shooting.

Thanks,

Jack

The Williams "Foolproof" sight is a good one. I have the Target version on my 336, it's finger adjustable for windage and elevation. Brownells sells them, and 3 or 4 other mfgr's peep sights for the 336. No drilling or tapping is required for the Williams, they mount to existing holes in the 336's receiver. -- Kernel
