Sights for M&P 15OR?

I just picked up a S&W M&P15OR, and am looking for sights for it. It has a railed gasblock with no sights on the gun. I am planning to put a red-dot or some form of optic, so am looking for a set of fold-down sights.

I was browsing Midway for sights when I noted in the reviews of atleast one sight that it didn't fit on the M&P15OR, with the sight being too high after mounting. Is the gasblock not a standard height for a gasblock-mounted sight? Should one get the handguard height sight instead? I'm not terribly familiar with ARs and am not sure what way to go for sights. How can I check to see what height I need? Looking through S&W's site and the manual, I see no mention as to what size to get.

I'd hate to have to get a railed handguard to mount a front sight to, and would prefer to mount one on the gasblock. Can anyone offer any advice on this? Is it infact a standard gasblock hieght for sights and nothing to worry about?

If anyone can recomend some not-too expensive flip sights that will work, that always helps, too :)

Thanks!

Edit:
This is the sight I looked at where one reviewer said it would not fit the MP15OR .

Don't look for a standard gas block sight because the OR gas block rail is inline with the receiver rail height. You can use any sights made for a top rail, like Troy BUIS.
Don't use Magpul on the gas block because it can melt from the heat of the gas block. Metal sights are fine.

Here are Troy sights on mine...

Here are some options for the front sight...

For my M&P15OR, I found a good deal on a folding Yankee Hill front sight $50. I then but an adjustable elevation/windage UTG for the rear sight. It works for me. Especially considering they're backup to my red-dot.

Thanks for the help! I've ordered the Midwest Industry sight and hope to have it in a few days.

Now to find some form of red-dot for a good price.

$200 or less, ideally. However, if I can content myself with my irons, or just shoot my other rifles instead for a while, I could probably save up more. Anything about $400 is probably not going to happen, though. I'm not sure I can justify that much on something used for range plinking.

I'd rather buy quality that I can count on, but I do have a limited budget. I certainly don't want something that I have to worry about holding a zero, but need to be realistic about putting money into a gun for how often it gets used. Since I just got the rifle, I can't say how much I'll be using it just yet. Given my schedule, I'm lucky to hit the rifle range every 2-3 weeks, and then only half of the year.

I'm not the biggest fan of spending the $400+ for optics. My A1optics I got on sale for under $100. However; because you said anything OVER $400 isn't a go; here's a deal you might like.

EOTech; that everyone says is about the best; is available at sportsmansguide.com for $368.97 with member discount. "Membership is $29.95 per year; but you receive 2 each $10 coupons for future orders; plus the discounted price on all merchandise. Plus every time you order something, you receive more $10 coupons." It's well worth it.

Anyway; an EOTech 512.A65 for $368.97 is the cheapest i've ever seen.
