Sights for a 686

I am considering making my 6 month old 3" 686 Plus a carry gun, but I really, really HATE the red ramp front, and I ain't to crazy about the rear either. The sights on my 629 were changed out easily enough to the gold dot style. I was wondering if anyone made a Tritium set for the gun? A quick look at the front blade shows it to be held in place by a pin. Can this blade be changed out by someone who is relatively skilled but not a professional?

Yes, I may just whip out the Marks-a-lot for the red ramp, but I like to put night sights on all guns I may carry.

Yes, all the firearms mentioned were purchased Pre-Agreement (PA).

Thanks.

My 686 came with all black front and rear sights. So they are around if you decide to not go with night sights. I bought my gun new in 1998.

I'm pretty sure that either Meprolight or Trijicon make them, but the only ones I've seen are only available with a red front dot. Wilson Combat used to do a carry conversion on the 66 that had nice tritium adjustables, all green IIRC. They might give you the source.

It looks like they'd be easy to change; the rear is only the blade and the front is only pinned.
