Sightron scopes?

Any experience with these? Looking at the specs for the Sll 1" tube 4x16 and 6x24 Mil-Dot and wondering if they are tough, clear and sharp, and the adjustments as good as they claim? Does the 1" tube provide adequate brightness in low light and range of adjustments to support the 308 at 1000 yards? Don't know that I will ever shoot at a 1000, but it would nice if needed. I have a Rem 700P with a Leupold one piece long range mount which gives me some extra elevation. Can't decide whether to blow the budget with a higher price 30mm tube in the $700 range or get something like the Sightron. SBender, Swarovski, Zeiss, NightForce, etc ( >$1000) are not under consideration. Thanks, Jim
