Sightron scopes?

I've found a good deal on a Browning A-bolt for $800. It comes with Rings, a base, and a Sightron scope. My only concern is I know nothing about Sightron scopes, as far as quality. Does anyone know about these scopes, and tell me how these scopes compare to some other brands. IE... Simmons, Burris, Swarovski? Thanks for you help.
 
IMO, well above average. Glass is Japanese, IIRC. I would slot them in the following:

Simmons, Burris, Sightron, Swarovski

The distance between Sightron and Swarovski is pretty big though as compared to that from Burris.
 
Thanks for the help. I know there is a big gap in between anything and Swarovski, but I needed the Sightron to be put into perspective of those. Thanks again.

Their 3x9x42 is an excellent buy. >200.00. I've had it mounted on a 7 mm WSM, A CZ452, and now my M4 A3. [ 3/8"@ 100 yds.] Great groups and great guarantee. Right in the pack with L/P, Nikon, and others to the 300.00 range.
 
Take another look at which Sightron it is there are I's II's and I believe III's each having different powers or lenses all can change the value of the scope. From about a $100 to several. I have one of the cheaper ones and it has done OK and what I have read has mostly been positive. Supposedly very good customer service which that and $115 was why I tried one. Other than it I have 7 ot 8 Leupolds.
 
I`ve sent the one I`ve bought back to Midway. Parralax adjustment was poor and the mildot reticle rather crappy. At 300 yds the dots were bigger than the steel target.
 
Which Sightron? SI, SII, or SIII? Big difference. But they're all good values; some of the best around. I've got two of the Sightron S2s and they are excellent scopes for the money. The big drawback of Sightrons is their short tube length makes them impossible to mount on certain rifles without offset rings.
