Well after trying to do as much research as i could i "pulled the trigger", and ordered one.
The S-TAC 4-20X50 should show up on my doorstep on Sunday from Amazon.

I'm planning to mount it to my Mauser in 284 Win. Will give short term and long term reviews.

I love Sightron, I own two of the Big Sky scopes and have been thinking about getting the one you are purchasing. Please let me know how you like it. When I save the money for it, it will go on a CZ 455.

Ok, rings are in. Scope mounted. Sighted in. And had some fun out to 500 yards.

The specs..

Commercial Mauser action
E.R. Shaw 24" barrel. 284 Win. Shaw 1.5 contour.
Bell & Carlson stock. Not bedded yet.
EGW 20MOA solid base.
Warne steel rings.
And 4-20X50 STAC

Sight in went well. 4 shots.
Did box at 100 yards. Ended up 1/2" right, but was probably me as i did single shots at begining and end, not group.

All knobs move smoothly. After some initial stiffness.
Turrets have nice positive, audible clicks. Tracks nicely

Paralax knob is fairly large and grip is fairly aggressive.
Turning anything with gloves onis no problem.

Reticle is thin, but works really well.
One concern on reviews was the thin reticle in a wooded situation.
Not a concern! Steel ram set at 430 yards in small opening on side of the mountain was no problem picking out.

I did have some flare out. But compared to 2 different Vortex Crossfire II, Redfield Revenge wasn't any worse or better. Compared to the Vortex Diamondbacks the Sightron was way better.

Had zero issues at max power range.

Couldn't really test for mirage due to 35 degree temps.

Overall i'm really happy with this scope!
