Move the rear sight in the direction you want your hits to move.
Hitting off to the left, move sight and shots to the right.

memory trick
A little trick to use if you can't remember which way to move the rear sight, take a ruler, yardstick, cleaning rod, or something similar, and line it up along your sights. Hold it in the middle. Move the muzzle end the way you want the bullets to go. The rear end shows where the sight should go. (approximate)

sighting problem
Dear Shooter:
You know, it's interesting that you want to move impact to the right!
I'll bet you're a right-handed shooter and this is a handgun!
For years (we're right-handers) my late son and I always had our rear sights slightly to the right! Know why? I'll honesly tell you - we were pulling slightly to the left (flinching)!
Now, after years of experience our sights (or mine, now) are centered! Reason why? We quit flinching asnd learned to "stay on the trigger" and pull the trigger correctly!
Now, you may not be subject to this - you're pistola may really be hitting left due to some reason but I just wanted to clue you how easilly it is to anticipate the shot and a right-hander will ALWAYS pull low and to left!
Now, also, bad guys usually can't shoot for @#$$#@@! in a real gunfight use the Weaver stance but try to lay to your left - his bullet hopefully will go to your right - but
if he's a good cool shot ---------
