sighting in scope

As I don't get many opportunities to sight in
a scope, I always forget which way to move the crosshairs. The dials point to right and up. How do I adjust them ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks . danl.

The "right" and "up" refer to the direction the bullet holes will go if you adjust that way.

If your first group is high and right you would adjust the scope knobs down and left.

I generally boresight at 25 yards (if not boresight at home) and my first three shots will be at 25 yards. When I'm on paper, I'll make rough adjustments to center of the bull (or preferably about 2" high from the "X"), and then, out to 100 yards.

Thanks Mikey, I couldn't remember if I was moving the crosshairs to the holes or moving the holes
Thanks, danl.
