Sight In ammo Problem

Attempted to sight in my Ruger M77 30-06 and found that my handloads would not headspace. Went to a box of Win 165gr SP (two years old). and sighted in. When I go to wally world and buy another box of Win 165gr SP,can I expect similar results or re-sightin for this box?
 
Every box can be a little different especially since they will be from a different lot of ammunition. Shoot at least one three shot group with it to confirm zero. Who knows it may be close to the other box you used.
 
You will be close,but more than likley. Course that all depends on how accurate you want to be. I would think you will be with in a inch or so of where you were
 
I would shoot at least a few to make sure. I'm sure you would hate to get the shot of a lifetime and find out they were way off.

When you say your reloads would not headspace do you mean they were headspaced incorrectly, i.e. to long for the chamber?
