Sight help for my SP

I've got two DAO SPs which I love. One has a trigger job and really sweet. Unfortunately, I'm just not accurate with it the way I am with my 4" 686; the Smith has a really beautiful orange site and I'm dead on accurate with it. It is possible to get a really good sight for the SP that will stand out just as much? I know very little about figer optics and the like so info appreciated. I just want something that will really jump out and help me with my shot placement. Thanks.

I don't know of one, don't see SP101 sights on the Millett site.

You could have a colored front insert gunsmith installed at some cost, you could have a fibre optic front sight installed at greater cost for the machine work.

You could paint them. I have several sights painted with Model Master Fluorescent Red over a white base coat. They stand out about as well as the high priced spread. Degrease the sight blade and paint carefully with a very small brush with the bristles cut off short. It might take a few tries but you can get a very neat job.

You know, I was actually considering painting them on. The Smith has a kick ass orange sight that really helps my accuracy so I was thinking of getting Bright Sights and using the orange paint.

I tried Bright Sights, the colors are hardly more than pastels.

Testor's model paints are more widely available, but I found Model Master paint at Hobby Lobby in an orange-tinged red that I like better than other shades. Putting it down over a white base coat really matters; that reflects light that passes through the color layer back out and brightens the blade a good deal.

Another possibility is auto body touch-up paint.
Do not discount fingernail polish.

Sir;
For a combat sight I can't think of anything better than a "ghost ring Novak rear" and a white lined tritium front.

Thanks Harry,

Sounds good, but I think I'm looking for something basic that offers the same advantages sight wise as my 686 without getting too expensive. I'm turning 41 tomorrow so, maybe my eyes just need something larger to focus on....
