Moderator, please delete this thread. It has run its course...had I been more mature it would have never been started. My apologies to the Sigforum...good people doing good things for the Sig community. Good luck to all...

Curuzer, what makes you say that? I have found some pretty useful info there. It is a little slow moving there but that's no reason to bash that site.

I went to one of the Sig forums (I to had thought there was only one) when I was trying to decide between a USP or a Sig. I've got to admit the reception I received there was rude and unhelpful. After three post I said, "Forget it.", and just came back here. I had thought since they were a Sig specific forum I could gain some insight.

No harm, no foul. Some boards are just different. We are free to read, post and lurk on those we like.

I had a problem with the way they run their board...no details necessary. We are at a truce now and have agreed to disagree...I will not return... I think they are good people, and I liked their specific forums for each brand. Different strokes for different folks...

I am not a regular there, but I have it bookmarked and visit often. Everyone there is very helpful and knowledgable and I see no reason that you should feel the way you do. I went in and looked at recent posts, and if you are who I think you are, it was really your own fault for going off about Glocks. I think, given what site you were on, you were treated very fairly.

Staff I realize that this is off topic and ripe for one of the dreaded discussion board wars. But may we please keep this one open until someone from the staff there has the chance to respond. One of the staff members there just Emailed me with genuine concern for my treatment there. I would hate to see them not get the opportunity to defend the site.
Let's all of remember that we have a common enemy and we need to have united front right now. No flame intended Curuzer but perhaps using the term "POS" is....indelicate. ;) We can all fuss among ourselves as needed after November 7th. :)

To clarify my previous post further I am not certain that we are all talking about the same discussion board. The minor insult I received was slight compared to many boards I frequent and, to me at least, no big deal.
Just remember they are a relatively new board and will, quite understandably, experience some growing pains. Let's give their staff the chance to do their (unpaid) "jobs".
We're all in this together and have much larger things to worry about.

I am a member and I like it. The information is usually very specific to Sigs, but there is nothing wrong with that. Give it a chance and I think you will like it.

I always found folks there friendly, very helpful and willing to help out.

Gunslinger, I think you must be confusing us with someone else regarding the incident you outlined. I am the administrator of that forum. I performed a search on both your username and ypour email addie. Since I've seen you in S&W forum under the same two pieces of ID, I assume that you would have registered at SigForum that way as well. The search yielded precisely zero.
If, however, you registerd under a different name and were in fact poorly treated, you have my sincere apology. I was not aware of any such incident. Please let me know if you can further clarify this particular matter.

Regarding Cruzer's post here, and in SigForum: As Cruzer stated, the details are unnecessary. It was a minor matter that was ostensibly handled privately. Both sides of the matter spoke their piece, and have, again as Cruzer stated, "agreed to disagree".

During the course of several emails, I came to the conclusion that Cruzer is an alright guy, and he is welcome in SigForum anytime. :)
It was simply a matter of a strong initial disagreement where tempers flared a bit. As far as I'm concerned, this matter is closed. And while I did not see the original content of Cruzer's post here, it is obvious that it was edited after the fact. This, along with his subsequent statements in this thread, indicates he wishes to put this to rest as well. Unfortunately, a post cannot be deleted here by the poster. If it could be, given the positive and mature response I've seen from Cruzer in the wake of this incident, I'm sure it would have been deleted.

To all in this thread who have said positive things about SigForum, thank you. We are growing, and we are trying our best to maintain a proper balance for all members. I'm sure the mods and admins here can attest that that is sometimes a daunting task.

Parabellum, I believe you may be correct in your assumption that I may be confusing your forum with another. It is I who owes you an apology. I have done considerable searching myself since this thread began and cannot locate the thread in question on any of the forums where it may have been. I suspect that the thread was removed from which ever forum it was posted on. (Not yours!)

Since I wound up buying a used Smith 5904 instead of the Sig or USP I will come over and visit your forum for some insight and camaraderie. Again, my apologies and good luck with the forum.

Looks like I missed all the excitement while I was away. The title on this message is very old...it should probably be deleted but I don't have the power to do that or I would. Parabellum and I are at peace, Sigforum is a good place to go (not a POS...sorry again). I wrote the initial thread last night before I apologized to Parabellum...

You guys now know me...the guy with the short fuse, but a good heart in the end.
I like this board. I like that board. If one of the moderators would like to delete the thread it might close the topic.
