I read in some huntin' rag the other day that SigArms is being sold, seems the parent company wants to get out of the small arms buisness.
Can anyone positivly confirm/deny this?

I reported this from the SHOT Show back in January, it is true. If you want to buy a gun company H&K is also available as is Colt. If you really wanted to I bet you could buy S&W as well. ;-)
If every one pitched in we could buy it.
And Colt.
Kodiac gets to be the director of new products...

I am starting to think that we need to seriously pursue this idea, folks. I'll bet large sums of money we could find at least half a million people who would take part.
Apparently the SIG deal includes Sauer, Mauser and Blaser, which would give you a pretty good line of handguns and rifles, all you'd need to add is a shotgun division. The SIGARMS academy is doing well up in Hew Hampshire, I'll bet you could add one out west (Phoenix?) and fill its classes, too.
Good products, dedicated customer base, fine services -- sounds OK to me. Anyone know how much they're asking for it? Think I could get a government loan?
I'd have to move the corporate HQ out of New Hampshire, though. I've shoveled my last driveway.
