Sig229 .40

Thats the price I paid for the identical sig a couple of months ago. The siglite sites make it run about $100.00 more than the regular sites. The place I bought mine from is a little bit high priced compared to some shops, But they had interest free financing and I couldn't help myself! I've always been told, The best price on something is the price that two people agree on. :p

Supply vs. Demand

Popeye,

It really depends on the supply (aka: availability) vs.
demand (your locale), regarding the Sig-Sauer P229.
I went through a similar situation back in December
of 1995, here in Bombingham, AL. The .40 caliber
P229 was a hot item; being bought up by several
major police department's in my area. One shop
had a NIB P229 with factory SigLite night sight's
and two ten round magazine's. Guess what the
price was? $760.00 + 8% sales tax; for a grand
total of $813.20. That was my price, and at the
time I was a LEO!!!

Anyway, I wanted a P229 bad; so I went ahead
and was foolish enough to lay out my hard earned
cash. Regret's? Yes, indeed. Cuz me and the .40
caliber P229 could not stay happily married; as I
should never have divorced my Sig P220 .45ACP.
I'm back home to stay- so, the choice is yours.

Best Wishes,

I've had a 228 and a European 220 both of which I regretfully sold. Now I've got the Sig bug again. I'm kinda anal about the finish on my guns, and all the used Sigs I've seen around here look pretty beat. $800 seems $50 to $75 high but I've really got the urge. Add to that I've got a couple .40 Sig high caps in my attic and the gun is hard to pass up.

Thanks much for all the comments/ suggestions.
