Sig x5 level 1 question

I picked up an x5 L1 today and simply love the looks and feel of it so far except for one thing....I shoot left handed and the mag release is so long it gets right in the way of my trigger finger. Can the mag release button be put on the other side? Thanks

Reversing the mag release is quite simple. In the front part of the mag release (towards the trigger guard) there is a small plunger that fits into a hole in the frame. Use a small punch to press the plunger into the mag release, and the whole mag release button will pop out (sending the plunger and spring across the room) once you have depressed the plunger far enough. Then you can take off the support plate on the other side, move it over to the left side, and reassemble in the reverse order. Working inside a large plastic bag is an easy way of finding the parts that go flying.

Since you are new to the X-Five, I'd really be interested in knowing how you think it compares to other pistols you've shot as far as accuracy.

I have the X-Five Competition 9mm, and it has made all of my other range pistols essentially safe queens because I'm so much more accurate with it.

I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet, but it is going to have to fill some pretty big shoes topping my Les Baer. Below is a group at 100yrds.

I was resting across my 4 wheeler when I shot this. Don't get me wrong, this group was luck because I couldn't even tell where the bullets were hitting until I went a saw this. They just so happened to be this tight.

FWIW, someone just bought a really nice Level 1 9mm on gunbroker for $1,400. I saw it, thought about it....thought about it some more....thought about selling my X-Five Competition (no adjustable trigger)....but lost it. Some lucky guy was quicker in deciding to buy it than I was. Oh, well. The good thing is my Competition model fits me perfectly and I probably don't need the adjustable trigger. It just would have been so fun to play with!
