Located a Sig X-5 new and unused that is 1750 - 30% discount. Thus, about 1300 including tax. No brainer, imho. Your opinion? TIA

I have an All Around purchased several years ago. Likely the most accurate and precise pistol you will ever own. That's a deal, if you don't want it PM me PLEASE.

This is one of the older models, German? with the checkered wood grips. Looks much like the Target models that are difficult to find. Found this at a Gander Mountain that is closing and looked like a deal. Haven't looked at it in detail, but probably has been in the counter for years. Figure I will go by and inspect further. From my searches looks to be a Classic or Custom. Has mag extension etc.

Opted to not purchase. It is 40S&W, Retail 2795, -3-% tag 1975 ish. All my guns are 9mm. Seems like a great deal for someone in North Alabama, Florence in particular. Beautiful gun for the right person. Thanks for the info

I've been shooting a X-5 L1 for a couple of years; a X-5 competition for a couple of years before that. And, up until a few months ago shot a X-6 L1 for four years. They're hard pistols to beat. Silky smooth triggers with a clean break, highly accurate. And, the pistols are very well finished. I preferred them to the SIG p210 6, Swiss made. However, the p210 is a duty gun, a different animal, entirely.

I can't say the SIGs are any more accurate than a Witness Elite Limited and a STI Match Master, both of which I shoot regularly. Shooting from a sand bag rest all are capable of putting five rounds thru a single hole in a one inch bullseye. If the STI trigger was adjustable it would challenge the X-Series pistols. The Witness trigger is just a bit rough, but breaks clean.

If I was a little closer to Florence, I be tempted.

So you're saying I should run over there and look at it? Or is that place closed?

I am not familiar with the X5, so am interested in hearing more...

I don't know if the store is closed yet. You could call them up.

There are several X-5 variants, I don't remember which this is. Maybe Bandg does.

It looked like the Classic in 40 S&W. Nill's grips 2795 - 30%. Store closing soon, but one should call prior to driving. However, my go to has always been Larry's.

A used excellent 9mm L1 I was watching sold on Gunbroker last month for $2625. I paid $2200 for mine NIB three years ago and I wouldn't sell it today for $2500, it has around 2200 rounds through it. Sig Germany is all about done due to them making illegal sales to Columbia. The L1s are world class pistols in my opinion and they will only go up in price over the next couple of years. The clowns in Exeter will find some way to screw it up if they decide to try making a pistol similar in quality. ;)
