Sig Trailside Owners, yes or no

From Sig Trailside owners, should I get one?
I'm a little cautious of reliability reports I've heard. The rental gun at my range has been out with a broken extractor for awhile, so I have not been able to rent it, but will before I decide.

I have one. It is very accurate, and I enjoy shooting it, but I have noticed that it spits out pieces of hot black powder residue after about 100 rounds or so. Very annoying. I think it accumulates at the breech face and gets kicked out as the gun cycles. However, I should point out that I am a lefty and the right-handers that shhot the gun do not have this experience.

Also, another problem it has after 100 rounds is occasional FTF problems. I spray a little Teflon oil into the action at the range and it usually clears right up. I don't know if these are problems common to rimfires or not. I do keep it clean, so they are not from lack of maintenance. Anyway, my overall assessment is that it is a nice gun, but I am a little disappointed in performance.

Great weapon. Most accurate gun I've ever fired. I got the plain 4.5" barrel cause I didn't know that the 6" model existed. Plastic mags take some getting used to. They work fine but they feel strange.

I am having occasional FTFs but I've only fed it a diet of Winchester Super-X .22 rounds. Also, being a newbie, I may not be cleaning it as well as I could be.

All in all it's a great gun. I plan to pick up a 6" target model the next time my wife isn't looking.
