SIG SP2022

6mm

Had a bunch of Cableas Gift Cards from work and left over from Christmas. So picked up a SIG Sp2022 that was on sale. Had an opportunity to take it to the range tonight. Fired 45 rds of 115gr FMJ and ten rds of Hornady 124gr +P JHP, was very happy with the quick try out. Will see how it is after 500 rounds, looking good so far.

Congrats, you got a great pistol. I've had an SP2022 for a few years and while I don't shoot it a ton, it's a great pistol. It's an under-rated handgun and one of the best buys out there in my opinion.

I just picked mine up from the LGS earlier today! Did a lot of research before buying and this gun consistently came up as one of the most underrated, and best buys out there. Glad to see more positive feedback! I got mine in .40 S&W and can't wait to try it out this weekend :D

I owned a stainless 9mm for about 6 months. It was a good gun and ran well for the 300-400 I put through it. Did not fit my hand but if it fits yours it seems like a great value for the money.

If you like it at this point, it will likely only get better. I love mine, but for some reason I am not very accurate with it like I am with my other guns. That is likely just me though. Others report fantastic accuracy with this pistol and it is a great gun.

I had an SP 2009 for many years and just sold it last year. Looking back at it, selling it is one of my big regrets. The only reason I sold it was the frame rail wasn't the standard Picatinny frame rail that comes on the new ones. Later last year, I discovered that I still had two hi-cap and one 10-rd magazines for it in storage. So, I definitely have an SP 2022 with night sites on my want list for later this year. I also have a P250, and I really like it, but I also like the single-action hammer on the 2009/2022. Good catch on your part – you just can't go wrong with the 2022!!

GeoJelly, I agree with you.

I have a couple of P250's and they are my everyday carry. I picked up the SP2022 as a replacement for my Beretta PX4, that wandered from my safe to my daughter's safe.

The SP2022 is great little shooter. If this keeps up it will go into the carry rotation.

I always wanted one until I handled one. That grip is so darn fat was immediately turned away. Really good pistols though
