Sig Sauer bullets?

I recently bought some defense ammo made by Sig Sauer for my 9mm Luger. This ammunition shoots very well and the bullets are freaking great!

Anyway, my question is this. Who makes that bullet? And can I buy them as a component for reloading? A friend told me they are made by Sierra, but I have not been able to find them.

You can ask SIG, but they aren't obligated to tell you. You can ask Sierra, too.

Be aware that when a major maker orders bullets from a supplier, they may be getting something you or I cannot buy. IF you're going to buy a boxcar load of bullets, you can get something made to your specs. Something that might not be available to retail purchasers. Maybe even by contract.

It doesn't hurt to ask, but you might not get satisfactory answers.

If it's the V-Crown, it's made by Sierra. Sierra also sells some of them as a component for handloading.

Midway and Graf's sell them.

And it looks like Sierra has them direct, now.

Yup, as was stated previously, they are made by Sierra, and available as components.
Typical of "The Bullet Smiths" they shoot very well.
