SIG R93 Model LRS2

Does anybody own one of these yet? If so, what's your opinion on it? A local gun shop has one for $2300. The rings cost an additional $175. When I held it, it felt so perfect in my hands. Plus the trigger pull is sooo sweet.

For those of ya that never saw this rifle, here's a pic of it:

George, the one I was looking at was a .308. From my understanding, you can switch calibers by buying new replacement barrels and bolt heads.

For the standard R93 line, SIG offers a Safari Package includes a .416 Rem. barrel, adjustable open sights, heavy-duty forend, kickstop recoil reducer and magazine insert. I don't know if it's available for the LRS2 :)

I've shot them twice. They are OK and typical of what you would expect from a rifle of that cost. But the rifle is a bit too space age for my taste. A more conservative gun with a more traditional stock is what floats my boat and that is what counts. Some will like this design and that is all that matters. Something for everyone. This is the way things should be.

Way more cool rifle, little less expensive and lots less attention. At least in the eye of the beholder. ;)

It is a SIG SSG 3000, the Blaser R93's dashing twin brother. Got to admit, the bolt action on the Blaser is second to none on the market. The SSG 3000 is more traditional bolt action. But both rifles are deadly accurate out of the box and would be the center of conversation at any rifle range.

What's the going rate for the SSG 3000? I kinda like the looks to the 3000 too. It doesn't look as busy.
