Sig Pro question

I am having troubles stripping down my Sig Pro and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions or tricks that they know to strip it down. The directions in the manual don't really help much and I really don't want to bring it to a dealer for a couple of reasons. Has anyone else had or is having problems stripping down their Sig Pro?? Thanks in advance!!

Its pretty simple. As you pull the slide to the rear you line up the part of the slide release that pulls out, with the marking or cut out on the right side of the slide.
Once you take it out the slide and barrel pulls right off.
I would suggest that when you reassemble that you put the slide release partially into the gun to hold the barrel in place before you line it up with the slide again. This will prevent the barrel from breaking off the little plastic tab under the feed ramp.

Wow, I am not very bright!!!

I went shooting today with all my relatives and I thought I would try to strip down my Sig to clean it. It was then that I saw the light and found out there was a button on the other side that if pushed releases the slide release and then the slide can come off. Once you find that button it is a ease to strip down.

Damn button

Yeah, it never occured to me there may be a button on the other side of the gun so I always tried to use my finger nails to take out the slide release lever and lets just say that never worked. Oh well. I guess I have done dumber things in my life.
