Sig Pre-Ban Mags

I just purchased two new Sig P226 15rd Pre-Ban mags.
Should there be any markings on the mag, other than Sig Sauer on the side.
The baseplate has a little play(movement) in it.
Is this normal?
I’ll check the fit in a friend’s gun soon.
I have to wait (5 months) for my Pistol Permit License before I can try it in my own gun.
Thanks.

If the magazine is a Sig factory magazine across the back the seem will be a large zipper pattern. I have 4 pre-ban magazines and none of the base plates have a excessive amount of play.

They have the zipper pattern and about 1/32" - 1/16" movement.
I expected some sort of ID number or date of manufacture to be imprinted for the ATF to track.
Thanks

My many sig mags for 220's and 229's and 239's have very very little play in the baseplate. I would not be upset unless your mags are bent up or the metal has scratches from being moved around . Maybe they can become loose from use, but fwiw mine have never done that.
