Does anyone own or know anything about this model? I won't be purchasing anytime soon but this gun to me just looks sweet. Also I have heard of the Sig models are being discontinued. If I was to decided to buy one I don't want to wait till I can't get one.

I don't think the 224 is made in Germany... That is part of the reason for some of the models getting discontinued.

I have held one at a shop, they are a sub compact version of the 226 line... Little bigger than other options in that class, but some like the extra size over the real small subs, like the Glock 26.

I have the p229 enhanced elite and it is probably my favorite handgun that I currently own. Very accurate and comfortable to shoot with the E2 grips. The SRT trigger is amazing. I would definitely recommend getting the model that comes with that trigger such as the SAS model. I have shot many rounds in the p224 also. It shoots basically the same as the p229 just a little smaller. I bought an HK P2000sk for my edc and although I like it, I really wish I had bought the sig p224 SAS instead

The 224 is one of the most easily concealed of the mid sized Sigs. It is very "short" only 4.5" from the bottom of the mag to the top of the gun; most folks find their pinky hangs off. it is a well made metal frame gun that generally runs $750 to 1,000. I like the 239 and 320 better.

Thanks for the info. Sorry this got posted twice but my phone was messing up was going to delete one but couldn't figure out how. If I hadn't just bought my SR40 I might would have considered saving up the money for the 224.
