I was finally able to get my new Sig P220 Elite stainless 10mm to the range to shoot it. This is the SAO version, with Siglite front sight and adjustable rear sight. I also brought my Glock 20 SF along to compare the two with my chronograph.
I shot 100 rounds of Sig Elite Performance 180gr fmj, 50 rounds of 135gr Nosler jhp that I loaded, and 50 rounds of Underwood 180gr jhp. Being an all steel gun, the Sig had minimal recoil for shooting full power 10mm loads. The trigger was nice right out of the box, and will most likely improve with use.
My 5 shot groups averaged 2-3" at 10 yards unsupported. One thing that I did notice with the Sig is that my brass was ejected at approximately the 3 o'clock position, 20-25 feet away! My Glock 20 SF with a 6" LW barrel tossed the empties about 4 feet away.
I had no malfunctions with the Sig, or any other issues worth noting. I am very happy with my purchase so far.
Here is some data recorded with my chronograph, a Competition Electronics Prochrono. Temp was 81*F.

There is the data for the three different 10mm loads that I ran through both the Sig P220 and the Glock 20. All three were pretty consistent.
Lastly, shortly after purchasing the P220 10mm; I decided that the rosewood grips were too nice to risk denting or chipping them. I took them off and put them in the Sig case, and installed a set of OD green Hogue Extreme aluminum grips. They are extremely comfortable in the hand. The backstrap area is much slimmer with the aluminum grips, and the pistol fits my hand like a glove now.
Here is a pic with the new grips-
If you are in search of a holster, I found a that a Blackhawk holster for a Springfield XDm .45 fits it very well. I had this in a box of spare holsters, and it will work until companies start making some. The slide hangs out of the bottom approximately 3/4" or so, but the front sight clears the leather just fine when the gun is drawn.
