Sig mag interchange compatability?

Which Sig pistols use mags that interchange with other Sig pistols? For example, does the P245 accept P220 mags? Does the P228 accept P226 mags, etc.? Thanks.

The P245 accepts the P220 mags. The P229 (9mm) accepts the P229, P228 and P226 mags. The P228 accepts the P228 and P226 mags. The P229 mags are a little different and don't fit the P228.

Huh?
Somebody must have forgot to tell my P228 that it will not take P229 mags. They are identical, and function perfectly, and fit perfectly.

Just FYI, P239 mags for .40 and .357sig are different mags. They will fit each other, but won't function 100%. The .40 and .357 sig mags for the 226 and 229 are identical and usually stamped with both calibers.

Yes, they do...in fact, the part number is the same. ;)

Your P228 [available in 9mmP only] will not, however, take a mag designated 'P229/.40 or P229/.357SIG', as those are P229 specific.

If you really crave a mag that doesn't need reloading that often, use the SIG-factory 9mmP 20-rounders...they seem quite popular with the ninja wannabes these days.

Then call me "NMGlocker-san" the "ninja assassin". :D
I keep a 20, loaded with Gold-dots in my bedside P228.

NMGlocker,

You keep a SIG by your bed?

Or is there some kind of disconnect between your moniker and your choice in a HD pistol?

Not that we can't own any and all, but your choice of a pseudo would have one believing you are a Glock proponent...;)

Yup, I admit it.......I keep a Sig P228 on my headboard, loaded with 21 Speer Gold-Dot 124gr. +P HP's.
My main carry weapon is a Walther P99, 9mm......
My Glock 17 and 19 hold the safe down. :D
I keep the same username both here and on Glock Talk, and I used to be a Glock-a-holic.
Shhhh......don't tell anyone but I like 1911's as well, just don't like the usual "1911 attitude".
