Sig 320 Modular Frames

I recently bought a Sig 320 45acp full size. I am thinking of getting a compact or subcompact frame for it. I noticed that several suppliers like Midway and Top Gun sell them. Are these original Sig parts are are these third party copycat parts? Is there anything else required to do this, like a smaller barrel, magazine, etc.

I'm not aware of after market grip modules yet, but I could be wrong.

You don't "need" anything else. Your longer mags will fit the shorter modules but you will probably want shorter mags otherwise what's the point of the shorter grip? Also note that the subcompact module will work on the full size slide but it looks kinda goofy. You can find some pics on sigtalk.com or just Gooogle.

Yes, Top Gun Supply sells authentic Sig factory parts. Yes they are available. You can also get them from Sig direct. They have been available for over a year.

You can slap a compact grip frame onto your full size slide. Your magazine will stick out a little bit. You can use a compact magazine if you want. A subcompact will leave a gap in the front of the dust cover.

In a similar fashion, you can use a subcompact grip on the compact slide, it will just be a little long.

yeah, that was my point. You can easily go "one size down" and look and work great. If you go two sizes down, it'll still work but looks way out of proportion

The size change kts for the P320 in 45 ACP are vapor ware. They are not available anywhere I believe there are large grips available but I have not looking into them. The medium is big enough to for me I would actually prefer a small but that is also vaporware.

You can use your existing fullsized slide and barrel on other size grip frames but as others have stated when you go down past the compact it looks strange.

No after market frames, barrels etc....

Brownell's has the full size small frame available for backorder.

The compact size is available and in stock at Sig's website... in all 3 colors.

They have Med and Lg in all 3 colors for the full size.

They have the Small size in the sub compact frame.

Good to know I have never seen it in stock anywhere maybe I will have to put it on backorder at Brownells.

Sig does not even list it on their own site.

I was speaking directly to the P320 in 45 ACP. You can find some of the different frames. Sub compact, compact and fullsized in some different sizes, small, medium and large.

So you can out your fullsized slide on a compact grip or your compact slide on a fullsized grip but what is vaporware is a kit which includes a compact barrel, slide and grip that you can drop your 45 ACP control modual into. This would allow me to have a fullsized gun for the range and a subcompact for carry. These are similar to the caliber x-changes offered for the 9mm, 40 S&W and the .357 Sig.

PS Uncle Mailce the Sig site lists all sorts of stuff that is out of stock which is why I was saying I have never actually seen the fullsized p320 frames with a small grip instock or on the site. http://store.sigsauer.com/parts.html?cat=284
