Sig 2340

Just got a new SP2340 & I really like it so far. Traded a Glock 23 almost dead even for it. The best thing is that my wife likes shooting it also. She never did develop a feel for the Glock, just couldn't manage a quick follow up shot.

Question, has anyone had any experience with the new "plastic" frame Sig's? Anything a new user should know about them??

on your spirit's of the Sig SP2340; but recently examined one with the polymer cracking around the trigger guard; just
before the trigger, and on the right hand
side of the frame. The gun in question had
not been abused, neglected, or droped. I
don't have an answer why this happened?
True, this is only one case that may be
isolated; hopefully it won't happen to
you.

They are great , just keep it real clean and oiled. Mine in .357 sig has 3500 rds. through it with no problems.It looks like it did out of the box.

Problems can occur with any pistol. Search the archives at www.glocktalk.com and you'll find reports of cracked frames on accessory rails/finger grooves frames Glocks.

If you like the pistol than you did good in trading a Glock 23 for it.
