Ignition Override

My Sauer was dropped off yesterday at the experienced gun smith, because the decocker will usually cock a hammer into the SA position,
but Won't lower a cocked hammer. The lever then has no resistance.
Out of curiosity, a photo of the components in this area of the Sauer seems to indicate a fairly complex internal structure.
Is the design of the components all around the decocker spring in modern Sig 230/232 very similar to this gun which basically "fathered" these modern types?
I told the gunsmith that hopefully they are about the same.
