This is an easy swap but it is essential to get the order correct or you'll goober it and the frame will have to go to SIG
I tried to post a reply but my machine times out for some reason and I cannot complete my text.
IT is essential that you DO NOT drive out the plate that retains the mag catch release spring first. This is on the opposite side of the button.
Begin by depressing the plunger on the face of the mag catch button w/ a small punch, , and easing the plunger and its spring; and the mag button and its spring from the pistol.
These parts are all under tension and easily launched. Do this in a sterile environment. A magnet helps w/ lost parts.
Once the button and plunger assy.s are out, THEN drive the plate from the off side ( a dimple is there for this purpose) and replace the plate onto the right.
The button, spring; and plunger spring then go back into the pistol on the left the same way they came out. PAY ATTENTION TO HOW THE PLUNGER
IS FITTED TO THE FRAME. The the tab must be forward and inboard so that it tucks into the frame recess to lock, but is still accessible to remove in the future.
Any questions or hesitation, go find an armorer, as this job can be goobered at worst, and parts lost resulting in down time for the pistol at best.
