SIG 228 in .357?

Is the 228 available in .357? I know they are no longer imported but I'm hoping I can find one somewhere. I prefer it over the 229.
 
No. The stamped slide cannot tolerate the pressure from .40 much less 347SIG SIG Sauer designed the P229 with a heavier machined stainless slide to handle the higher pressure .40 Today the P229 is available in 9mm, .40 and 357SIG. The P228 continues in its original configuration as a 9mm
