Sig 228 clone (DAC-394) ?

I have a feeling that ONLY the outside is the same. I would think that there are patents and such protecting SIG from a direct copy. I'd do a little research first, and shoot a few hundred rounds through it before you buy it.

I'm guessing it's more of a shortened version of the CZ99/TZ99 variety. If it were, it would then have ambidexterous mag release and decocker, and the decocker would also act as the slide release. If this is the case, then the action is actually a CZ-75 type and not SIG-type. I'm researcing this pistol too. If I find out any more, I'll post it here.
 
I have seen these up for auction on a couple of sites recently. They would seem to be a great bargain, as the ads claim they are exact copies of the SIG and that the parts and magazines are even interchangeable. Still it would be best to be cautious. After all, $250 in still alot of money to spend on a pistol that may turn out to be junk. OTOH if it shoots like a SIG, it could be the bargain of the century.
