Sig 226 slide disassembly question

I picked up used P226, slide stamped "Made in West Germany". Pretty cool. I like that historical note. Anyway....

I want to disassemble the slide to thoroughly clean it out and it has a two piece pushpin holding the block containing the firing pin and extractor inside the slide.

By pushpin I actually mean two rolled up pieces of metal, one inside the other.

Is there a replacement part I can use instead of this? Seems difficult to take out as if it has never been driven out and I would want to replace it if possible.

Should I just take a ballpeen hammer and drift punch and drive it out? Initial investigative attempts resulted in pin inside of pin are too soft to be able to be put back in afterwards.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You're supposed to replace those two roll pins if you remove them. I'd drift the inner one out first, not both at the same time.

I don't think you can retrofit the solid pin that the newest billet slides use.

When you get the new pins, you may need to squeeze the pins slightly in a vice before they will fit into the slide. Then you need to hold in the firing pin while you tap the outter pin into the slide. The pins hold the firing pin in place.
