I have an opportunity to purchase a NIB SIG 226 with two full capacity mags, the slide has only been racked once... By me.
The Price: $600.

Am I nuts or is this an ASTOUNDINGLY good deal??

Its just a "nine", but A fine nine indeed!

If the mags are genuine factory preban it's an excellent deal. If they're preban MecGars it's a good deal. If the mags are any other brand it's no deal.

The magazines are Factory, only one has ever been inserted into the weapon.
When I said NIB I mean NIB.
It still has the tag on it!

Yes, buy it, expecially if the mags are SIG factory.

In my area, one dealer has a new P226 in his display case for $649. Another local dealer has one for $699. And these are with Clintonized magazines!

Just wanted to let you know that they're $710 here at my local gun store. You should buy it. I just sold mine for $500 w/ trijicon two color NS, 5 hi caps and 3 holsters to buy a Kimber.

I get the pistol on the 16th.
Ill have a full range errrr, backyard (I love kentucky)report a couple days after that.
The weapon's date of manufacter is Early 90's I believe, any bits and pieces I need to upgrade before the fun begins?

Great buy, Mulio.

I've had a 226 for about 12 years, I love it.

Let's see, upgrades....

Well, after only about 6 months in a holster, the park or whatever is on the slide started to wear off, so I had the slide hard-cromed, and had night sights installed at the same time.

Six months ago, I broke down and put on a nice set of Hogues....

Other than that, it's been extra mags and lots of holsters.

What a great pistol. Have fun.

Good deal, boy, ya done well. I found an all nickle 226 with 2 ful cap mags at a pawn shop, unfired, 2 summers ago and bought it for $600. Put a set of Hogue Pao Fero grips on it (handsome!), and it is the best shooter in my collection. I've since added a couple of 15 rnd. ProMags (upgraded with Wolffe springs), and a used facotry mag for practice. Can't hardly go to the range without someone offering to buy it,but it's my faovorite (after my 228) SIG. Enjoy!
