sig 224

As an owner of a few SIGs I was pretty excited when I first heard about them, but when I finally saw one in person it just seemed like a slightly heavier GLOCK G26. Since I already own the G26 I decided to save my money for something else. However, if you like the gun I can’t think of any reason not to pick one up.

I've not seen one, yet... but for the Glockophobes, the P-224 is METAL and holds 2-more rounds. It weighs about 5 oz. more than the Glock.

I suspect they're both fairly comfortable to shoot, unlike some smaller guns.

Yup, if you want a TDA Glock 26, P224 is where its at. For me, I'm done with guns I can't get all my fingers on. It's just too easy to conceal a P229-size which can do just as well in roles other than concealed carry.

Maybe as a dedicated BUG, or in some other roles. If I wanted to carry a gun on my ankle, for example, though for me that would be a J-frame purely for the weight.

Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a P224 if I wanted TDA in that size. The one's I've handled all seemed very nice. I wouldn't let recent Sig quality concerns stop me; just test it thoroughly before relying on it.

Well I bought the 224 I went to the range had to keep hitting the slide back after 600 rounds still had to hit the slide so I sent it back to Sig I'll wait and see

I don't own a P224, but I've played a guy who does on TV. Seriously, though, fired a couple of them more than a few times, and the P224 is one of the rare cases where Sig Sauer really pulls ahead of the Glock game. A P224 in .40 does everything a Glock 27 does, without getting otherwise smoked, and even pulls a little ahead. I have a hard time saying the same thing about the Glock 22/23 and the P226/P229.

It even accepts the big boy magazines from the 229/226.

The DA is a bit harsh given how short the levered trigger is on this small of a frame, but the little beggar really shoots.

Really wish an X-Grip type magazine sleeve was available for these. This is a place where the Glock 26/27 really makes out.

I have one in 9mm and I prefer it to my PX4 Sc (though it is heavier). I do like the Sig DA/SAs in general so that may contribute :)

I tend not to compare it to the G26 and the M&P 9c since those are stiker fired but overall, they're about the same as far as N. of rounds (w. +2 Base Plate) and accuracy.

Note that I've seen them go for wildly diffirent prices, Top Gun supply tends to be decent on Sigs!

If you like how it feels in the hand and like Sigs overall, I'd say go for it!

Well it's two months Sig has my 224 never had a problem with any of my Sig except my 224 anybody have any idea's on this gun or here any problems do I keep it or sell it when I get it back everybody tells me if you can't trust it get rid of it
