Sig 2022 hits low

I was wanting to know if this is common for this pistol or does it like heavier ammo. I'm currently using 115 & 124gn rounds and both are hitting low from the POA.
Please advise.

Thanks

How low, and at what distance? Keep in mind, this is not a target pistol. In it's designed usage, if you can keep hits COM at 15 yards, an inch or two makes no difference. In time, you will learn the gun, and the problem will go away.

I don't know that it's a common problem. And I doubt it's the ammo if it's occurring with different brands and weights. What distance are we talking? Also, I don't want to offend by implying that it's you; but does it shoot low for others, too? And in both DA and SA modes? If so, maybe you should look into a shorter front sight or a taller rear sight.

It does shoot low for others. there is a video on utube where the shooter comments on having to hold high on the target. I am shooting at 7 to 8 yards. I hold the front blade level with the rear sight and put the target on top of the front blade. When I raise my POA by a couple of inches I hit where it should.
I am getting better with it every time I shoot it.

Thanks for the advise and the links. It all makes sense now, its mostly me not knowing the sights that this gun has.

Thanks again.

Glad if anything I said helped.

One last thing: If you prefer the 6 o'clock sight picture, then it sounds like a lower front sight would work.

I had the same problem the first time I bought a Sig. It won't take you long to get accustomed to it now that you know which sight picture to use.

it's you. well technically, it's your familiarity with the trigger. i had the same problem. the break point of the trigger is entirely too close to the grip to be comfortable imo. it was too much for me to overlook, so i sold mine.

Its not his trigger control or the break point of the trigger it is the sight picture he was using.

He was using 6 o'clock hold, image 1 and the Sig is setup for a Combat sight picture where POA is POI, image 3.
