Sig 1911 45 acp Nightmare Carry

So who has one of these ?

I was able to handle one and really like the feel and balance.
I want here some feed back on these 45's before buying it.

Thank you in advance for the info

I have the full size Nitemare in 45 ACP. I find the checking a little too sharp for extended shooting sessions and I don't see the point of a bobtail grip frame on a full size 1911. Having said that, I like how the pistol shoots and looks.

I have one but in Sig 357. I have carried it a few times, but it weighs more than my Dan Wesson Guardian, so the Guardian gets carried most of the time.

That good to hear. I think i am going to pick it up today.

Any of you finding it hard to find a holster for the nightmare carry ?

Took the new pistol to the range

Ammo used
Federal white box
Winchester white box
American Eagle
My hand loads

Magazines used
Sig factory mags
Wilson Combat
Kimber Pro Tac

Loading the magazines with 8 rds was kind of tight and you had to slap the bottom of the mag to get it to engage in the mag well.

There were no Failure to feed or eject with any of the mags and all locked the slide back in the last round fired.

The trigger was a bit gritty but still it broke clean and crisp. I am sure the trigger will clean up with use.
Targets were set at about 30 feet. I was grouping at about 4 to 6 inch circle.
Now my eyes are not so good so i am sure someone with better eyes and a steadier grip would tighten the groups up alot better then i can do.

I like the raised grip safety. You don't have to put a death grip on the pistol to engage the grip safety.
The G10 grips felt good.
All in all i am very happy with this 1911. It will be in my safe for a very ling time

Love mine, but never need the Sig customer service; it's not up to the standards of Kahr, S&W or Ruger.

And keep an eye on your disconnector; mine crumbled to dust after <1000 rounds. MIM failure.

I have used SIG and S&W customer service but not the others.

I found them both to be excellent. My only complaint with SIG would be they warranty the gun only to the original owner, which is foolish in this industry IMO.

Sorry you had a bad time with them.

I shot a SIG 1911 Emperor Scorpion, I was gonna buy it on the looks alone, it looks awesome. I'm glad I rented it first, the front of the grip has serrations that bite just like a Scorpion and the gun was almost un-shootable after awhile without a glove.

Still almost bought it though, looks so good......
