Side benefits of working at a gun shop...

I gotta admit it's nice to be able to complain "The trigger on this 629 is rough as a cob and takes two grown men and a chainfall to pull" and have someone yank a spring kit off the wall, wander into the back, spend ten minutes with a file and come out shaking his head and saying "I can't believe they let it out of the factory with the hand that tall and the ejector star unfitted", before handing you back a sixgun with an absolutely delightful trigger pull. :D

Probably a lot better workin in a good store than ownin a mediocre one.

Tis a shame that they no longer come from the factory in finished condition.

Ah yes the joys of working in a gun shop!:D

There are those of us who do and those of you who wish you did!

I wouldn't let the gunsmith at the shop where I used to work touch ANY of my S&W revolvers.

No way, no how.

And, the one shop I worked for, I never took a gun out of. The owner didn't even cut the employees any breaks! Greedy bastard, through and through.

The second shop where I worked?

I worked there for guns. Pure and simple. I never drew a single dollar in salary. :)

Sorry to hear that. :(

I'd trust ours with any gun I own; the man is amazingly talented.

Tamara,

The benefit you're missing out on is where you follow him into the back and learn how/what/why/when to do it yourself!

Aprrentice your self girl!

:D
