Side Armor IWB

OK guys, I ordered my Side Armor IWB holster for my Springfield XD. I ordered it with the belt loop and belt hook attachments. The quality of the holster itself is excellent. Adjusting the retention of the gun is very easy, as is switching the attachments. It fits in my jeans with no problems and is fairly comfortable. I'd say the comfort level is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The split belt loop is very easy to use and not much different than any other on the market. The attachment I found a little more interesting was the belt hook. An image of it if can be found here: www.sidearmor.com/catalog/images/belthook.jpg . The attachment is comfortable, but you can also adjust it a bit to fit you perfectly. Since the attachment is made out of kydex, a little heat from a heat gun or even a lighter will do the trick. I just exagarated the bend a little more since I am on the skinny side to make it look/feel more natural. I personally think this is a nice option to get the best fit out of your holster. After wearing it around for the last week or so, I would definatly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, comfortable, and affordable holster.

Good idea

Using my handy Harber Freight heatgun I took your idea and bent my holsters belt strap slightly to better fit my bodies shape. It made it fit much better. :)

Nope, the 4th gen is for the Glocks. I would Definatly like to see the same design for an XD though. Does anyone have the 4th gen for their glock? If so how is it? And I'm glad to hear the heat gun worked out for you. Did you have to adjust it much, because only needed a very little change.

I have a Sidearmor IWB for my 5" 1911 and love it. I have the belt hook but do not use it with the tucker as it leaves the entire hook exposed. I do use the J hooks with the tucker though, putting a cell phone between the hooks, and it works great.

The 4th Gen looks great but the last time I cooresponded with Sidearmor they had no intention of making it for 1911s. That is a damn shame as I think it would sell!

SideArmor 4th& Glock

I have the SideArmor 4th IWB and even after using the heatgun to reshape the Beltband of the holster it still does not fit really great. I find that I use my Comp-Tac Pro Undercover the most. I bought one for my 1911 and liked it so well I ordered one for my Glock. :) Many people use the SA 4th IWB and they like them.

I have the same Sidearmor IWB, but mine has the j hooks. Works great, best kydex IWB on the market in my opinion.
