hey really starting to look at getting one of these because living in new york this is one of the few tactical guns that actually comes ny legal. (no detach mag over 10 rounds, no pistol grips, no folding stock, no muzzle break, no bayonet mount, no grenade launcher) so lets here what you think about the gun.

I have a couple 7.62x39 & 308win had no trouble with either one both have several hundred rounds through them. Pretty good little rifle for the money.
IF you dont care if I ask what do they cost in N.Y.?

from what ive been seeing anywhere from 350 to 425. going to go talk to some different shops soon. what kind of accuracy do you get with the .308?

Two years ago I bought a .308 for $470 locally. The only time it ever malfunctioned was a single stovepipe while firing steel case russian ammo from the hip. The equivalent of limp-wristing a pistol.

My 308 shoots the light stuff better with 145gr.about 1 to 2'' @ 100 depending on how hot it is,& clean. I got mine for a hog gun for swamp work.
But I took a 8 point @ 230 yds with 150gr.hornady with no problem.
I think its has a weird twist to the barrel like 12.5;1. So it likes them light.

I bought a 16 inch Saiga .223 about this time a year ago. I really like it. The 10 round mag that came with it caused occasional FTF. I changed the forearm to one made in the USA so I could run 30 round mags. Now it runs flawlessly. Over 1000 rounds without any problems at all. It will hold “minute of man” to 200 yards with cheap ammo such as Wolf. Using Lake City M855 ammo it will do fine out to 300 yards, but that’s about it. It’s no AR15 when it comes to accuracy, but it does what it’s intended to do.
