Showing off my XCR-II

Just mounted the scope and boresighted, and I'm so excited I just wanted to show off: Remington 700 XCR-II in 300 Win Mag topped by a Leupold VX-3LR 4.5x14 with TMR held on by Talley mounts and rings. Now time to figure out what to feed the beast, open to recommendations...

Nice looking rifle that should serve you well in a kinds of weather, without hardly any worries of rust. I have two rifles in the original XCR finish and they have held up well in rain and snow, without any signs of rust.

You didn't say what you were going to be shooting at but try some ammo that has the 180 grain bullets for deer sized game.

I got this rifle to hunt elk in northern Idaho and Arizona. I've only been hunting for two years, I've been borrowing a buddy's Win 70 with a VX-3, I liked that scope so much I got the same one, except I opted for the TMR where he had the mil dot. I probably won't use the TMR much for hunting but I do want to do some long range target shooting with it, so I figured I might as well get that reticle.

Nice rifle! I thought long and hard about an XCR a few years ago, until I stumbled across an older FN Mauser in .30-06. If the set up is comfortable for you it should work well. I would have tried to mount the scope a little lower if it was my rifle, but that is my preference.
