Show and Tell... recent holster build...

Just wanted to post a pic of a recent holster I made for a friend. He was looking for something to match the Mammoth Ivory grips on his custom 1911. An exact match with leather or other exotics is always tough... but I think I did alright.

The inlay is ivory colored Caiman Crocodile. I have to admit... the color combo is not something I would personally go for, but to each their own. He was thrilled with it, so I was too :)

comments, critiques, etc. are welcome!

Very nice work Sixer,,,

I build as well so I do recognize good technique.

I especially like the cleanliness of the belt cutouts,,,
That's one area that a lot of makers flub on.

Nice job. :)

So, what exectly does it take to be your friend?

Haha... honestly not much! Although, I did charge him for the holster... I have a long list of "toys" that need buying ;)

I appreciate the kind words.

I actually like that color combo... with that specific gun anyway.
Nice workmanship!

Thank you Sir! It's always a fun challenge to build a holster around the grips... at least it is when it turns out OK :)
