Shoulder support/brace.... any out there?

My friend on another forum can't shoot right handed anymore.

His words:

"Can't shoot right handed anymore. When the right lung (OK, half the lung) was removed last year, my ribcage was cracked open and the resulting nerve damage etc. has made it impossible to shoot even a .22. It's like being stabbed with a red hot blade, pain to the max. "

He's trying to ...learn.. left hand shooting, but I was wondering if there is any sort of brace or support that might work for him.

Thanks

:)

Has he tried shooting free recoil with small calibers, muzzle brake and super short lop?

For example an AR15 on a tripod with the stock collapsed. Bolt guns can be setup the same way.

Do a DuckDuckGo image search for shooting off a tripod.

He wants to shoot handgun.

And an AUTO. MY thinking is that racking the slide will kill that idea.

Pain management specialist. It may well be that his neuropathic pain can be significantly improved or even eliminated. Oral medications (not narcotics) might provide some benefit but my first thought is an intercostal nerve block or ablation. Might result in an area of numbness; however, that would be better than pain.

Racking the slide...

Maybe something like the TandemKross Halo (a big ring that fits off the back of the slide) would be helpful. Maybe have a hook attached to your jacket and then hook the Halo ring, push the gun away from you to rack the slide and slip the hook off the ring or something like that.

Many condolences to your friend. Seems almost inevitable as we get older to have eye problems, ear problems, joint and muscle problems etc. etc.
