Shoulder Pad For Shooting.

I have been looking for a pad for my shoulder for Rifle shooting,
In Florida , it's HOT most of the time, therefore Minimal clothing.
I'm getting old, 50 rounds is getting my shoulder a little sore...

So: Are there pads made for strapping on the shoulder.
I have made up a few, works great, but they just don't stay put,
Note: I Prefer not to go to a vest...

PAST recoil pads. Different sizes and in regular and magnum. I used one for years shooting both a 12 gauge with slugs and a .308 from a bench. When I shot the .308 I'd shoot anywhere from 50 - 100 rounds in a sitting. They've been around for years and years. Also are carried by the above companies..
Be safe, CraigJS

+1 on the Past recoil pad. I use it when I shoot F-Class (as in NO muzzle break) using my 7WSM - 55-60 rounds a day in competition.

Another vote for the Past. I have both, the regular and magnum. used them for over ten years...no problems, no sore shoulders....now I shoot smaller just as effective calibers!!:)

Pabst

I got one from Midway for myself and two of my friends.....after shootin a 270 Wthby mag in a T-shirt ....The Pabst came out and made shooting the big magnum rounds much more enjoyable in the spring and summer .....BTW it works on eith right or left hand shooters.....BB34

About 25 years ago my wife started sewing padding in the shoulders of my shooting shirts. My current heavy rifle shooting shirt has about one inch of cotton shoulder pads and sponge rubber sewed into the shoulder. Yesterday I fired 20 rounds through my 7 pound .375 Alaskan: This gun kicks really hard. With my padded shirt on the recoil felt about like a a .308 Winchester.

Padded shirts work much better than any strap on recoil pad.
