shoulder holster

I am right handed looking for a shoulder holster. What is the cheapest, most durable holster out there that isn't to heavy.

I carry my large revolvers (6.5-8") in a cheap Uncle Mike's shoulder rig. I think it was about $30 maybe? Nylon, comfy, inexpensive, adjustable, and the loops snap for easy on and off.

I see Tandy leather has a sale on their should rig kits. I might have to get one. It just doesn't seem "right" for a nice SA revolver to ride around in cheap nylon. They were MADE for leather, right?;)

Natchezss.com

I would check www.Galls.com www.Natchezss.com www.Cheaperthandirt.com www.UScav.com www.Bianchi-intl.com www.Blackhawk.com .

Natchez Shooting Supplies sells a lot of Gunmate, Bianchi and other well made brand nylon/man made material holsters. ;)
The service & prices are good. Blackhawk sold a line of nylon rigs too but you'd need to check the main website for models/sizes.
DeSantis may have a decent leather rig in your budget range but I can't honestly speak to the fit/QC. I own a small Nemnesis pocket rig that is great and for the record, DeSantis sells many holsters-gear to major PDs in the USA/Canada. Galco is a well made brand but costs a lot.

IMO... A shoulder holster is the last kind of holster where price should be considered. A shoulder holster tends to move a lot more than any other kind. Also shoulder rigs often present the firearm in a position that if the holster fails loss, or damage to the gun is almost guarenteed.

Break down and buy a better holster. Your gun, and your life is worth it.

+s & -s of shoulder holster rigs...

I honestly would not call vertical or horizontal shoulder holsters the "best" carry systems or the first choice for many handgun models but some important factors may require this method.
I strongly disagree with many gun shop employees, security class instructors or sworn LE officers who quick to rail on shoulder holsters in any form or for anyone w/o knowing-understanding things like health, strength, duty or uniform position(aircraft pilot, 911-security dispatcher, vehicle driver, etc).
Many cold weather LEOs, armed guards and CWP holders may need to use a shoulder holster for a BUG/second gun.
Now it's true, the firearm could be hard to re-holster one handed or it may require a awkward draw but it's not fair to knock shoulder holsters for EVERY gun owner/armed professional.

Uncle Mike's. Light, comfortable(once you get it adjusted. Doesn't move when adjusted to fit you either.) and inexpensive. Used a large pistol model while in The Queen's Service, long ago.
