Should Michigan Legislature Make Getting CCW Easier?

Be sure to leave feedback as well. They show one by some schmuck using the nuclear weapons argument.

85% - 15% in favor of the good guys

Thanks for voting.

I know that these polls aren't always useful, but rest assured that something like this would be used by the bad guys in their editorials if numbers were reversed.

Straightshot: And rest assured that the Detroit News are definately among the bad guys when it comes to the right to keep and bear arms.

While the Detroit News is anti-firearms in many cases it is far better than the Free Press. None of the staffers with that paper have ever seen a anti-firearms ownership law that they have not endorsed. Of course most of the editorial staff have CCW/CWP's since they are more improtant and valuable than the rest of the residents of teh state.

85 - 14

It's actually listed at 85 - 14.

1. If you've never contacted your Michigan State Rep. and Senator before, now's the time. Call them both NOW in support of HB4530 without restrictions.

2. Call your Senator NOW in favor of the dove hunting bill, HB6147.

Thanks,

Jim V. With respect to which face of the JOA is worse on RKBA, I'll make a simple observation: It isn't the Detroit Free Press which published a big week-long anti-gun series timed to coincide with the legislature's consideration of concealed carry reform. And it isn't the Detroit News which just today ran a fairly balanced article on the local man who is being railroaded because a gun he sold five years ago EVENTUALLY found it's way into the hands of a murderer. On this one issue, the two papers have actually swapped places, the News having gotten so rabidly anti-gun.

The poll has closed now

And for some reason they didn't delete it. Go figure?

It is now located at this link

Should the Legislature make it easier for individuals to get permission to carry concealed weapons if they have passed mandatory safety training?
Yes = 85%
no = 14%
